No they are very bad for the ankle area. I found that out around 20 years ago.

I sleep in a over-sized chair with a large foot stool (don't know today's label for them). I put 4 to 5 pillows under my right arm to make sure during the night I don't slump and put weight on my spine.

The trouble today is I have to watch I don't fall asleep sitting up in an event. LOL
For 15 years I put double-stick (my co-workers laughed at first) on my office chair and sat straight up. The tape prevented me from slipping down through the day. People around me complained their backs hurt and they were 20 to 30 years younger. I don't look fragile so people blew my advise off. I was good at keeping my actual condition secret.

Nikk, you would never guess you have back problems by looking at you. I have two friends who look all bent over You present yourself well. Of course your personality shines and their rather. Uh. .... Uh. ... dull
