You mean...like Ted Cruz? Who SHOULD be the presidential candidate? You mean THAT “veep who knows how to navigate in Congress”?
I’ll be SO happy when Trump finally makes his VP pick so we can end these pointless, inane posts speculating on who Trump should pick for VP, and get on with the far more important pointless, inane posts speculating about why Trump should or should not have picked whomever he picked for VP.
It’s not going to be McChrystal...or any general for VP. For Defense Secretary, Secretary of State and other important foreign policy positions, yes. VP no.
The VP is going to fit one or preferably both of two political criteria: 1. Someone who can bring the disaffected Republicans (the establishment types) in (such as Reagan did with the Bush pick, as disastrous as that ended up being 12 years later); 2. Someone who can bring in an important swing state or open up a Democrat state.
Those are the two things that the rather lame position of VP needs to accomplish. Look for people that fit one of those bills, if there is someone that fits both without creating problems elsewhere, then look really hard there.

CBS Sunday Morning had a profile on that scumbag McChrystal a few years ago.
He was very hostile to the Second Amendment, called semi-automatic rifles “assault weapons” that are “weapons of war” and should be banned from “civilian” use, etc.

He so inexperienced he blew away and obliterated a bus load of corrupt seasoned experienced career lawyer politicians. He beat them like a drum. It was historic in fact. ☺☺

I can’t find it now, but last year I read an article in which Trump blasted McChrystal on how he fought the war.
Trump has this guy’s number, nothing to worry about.

Gen Mattis is known as the “Warrior Monk” as he devoted his life to studying warfare. He served until 2013 and was actually disciplined for criticizing Barry’s policies.
Gen Odierno served until 2015. He’s a huge critic of islam and the Barry.
I truly wouldn’t want him to. I want him for president! :)
