I think Trump made his choice weeks ago, and put the ball squarely into Mike Pence’s hands to decide. I think he did, as Trump is scheduled to go to Indiana tomorrow.
I think it’s a fantastic choice!!!!

I can live with Pence, he was one of my 1st picks for Potus over a year ago. However, the last time we had a good man ( he truly was ) from Indiana for VP the Press eviscerated him, and that was Dan Quayle. How do we prevent Pence from being (sadly it now a verb) being Quayled, or do we leave that to Team Trump? They have proven themselves to not be shrinking violets, so he may be in good hands...
Help carry Ohio? Perhaps, but IMHO Trump has got a lot of work to do to carry Michigan, it is winnable IMHO... He needs to start by visiting Wayne Assembly (look it up), possibly the tour guided by Bill Ford or Mark Fields and mend some bridges...

I was hoping for Newt, but I have always liked Mike Pence. If he is Trump’s choice, then I approve. I hope he keeps Newt around as an advisor though!

Quayle was an idiot. He had some dyslexia. He was in many ways over his head. I’m sorry, he was an embarrassment. Not to say that behind the scenes he wasn’t a good man, and didn’t get things done. He did.
Pence has a stronger temperament. Being Governor molds you in a different way than if you’re a Senator or Rep.
This is a good choice. ENergy. Newt was great at the same age, but lacks energy now, plus he’s got the tub.
Pence looks good next to Trump.
On the other side you have Hillary standing next to another loser.

Boring choice
looks old for his age
not exciting speaker
not charismatic
Fauxcahontas is an attack dog, and so is Hellary he is a Maltese and they are Dobermans
VP needs to be the one to attack for the ticket, that lets Trump be Presidential and discuss policy
I am not sure Pence is tough or skilled enough to be a good verbal fighter. The Clintons are street fighter who get down and dirty.

"Not to say that behind the scenes he wasnt a good man, and didnt get things done."Niko's I didn't know about the dyslexia ( diagnosed ? ), however I do know he told Bush the Elder that the George Mitchell Tax increase was a bad idea. Had the Elder listened, would history be much different....

A good solid choice. Just like Trump.
I can’t see any downside.
TRUMP/PENCE 2016
Let’s do this!!!

Pence was a conservative radio all so host at one time.
He has the verbal chops.

Newt shoots from the lip at times. The other thing is that the multiple wives situation highlights the issue. Other factor is running with someone older than Trump isn't forward It would have Hillary claiming "family values" on her side....bizarre, I know, but don't giver her the opening to lie
I trust Mr. Trump to make the best decision. Governor Pence probably can help in Midwestern states because he's had experience with the issues in that swath of the US with a lot of common challenges.

Besides having been a successful talk radio host, he has a congressman before being elected governor. He is actually conservative (despite imperfections, which we all have) and is actually well-qualified to be president. Choosing him is in and of itself a presidential move.
VP needs to be the one to attack for the ticket, that lets Trump be Presidential and discuss policy
Some football teams throw the long ball, some do a lot of dink-and-dunk passing, some lean heavily on the running game. Trump is never going to be a policy wonk, discussing policy in detail, and is comfortable being the attack dog as needed. George W. Bush went with Cheney as the policy wonk, and it helped him win the election (that is NOT to compare Trump with George the Younger in any other way!).
Pence is a mature, good choice, and will solidify the support of conservative Republicans who fear that a President Trump might walk back certain positions.

I’ve heard Quayle speak many times since being VP. He is actually quite brilliant and very conservative which is why the media “Palinzed” him.
His Murphy Brown statements were right on.
He was way to the right of Pappy Bush, who I no longer respect.

Where’s all this coming from? As far as I can see, it’s just another newspaper report claiming to know something. Two days ago is was a different report and another guy and they knew something, TOO.

I am hoping Governor Pence joins Trump on stage for a show of unity with his cause.

I still don’t see how that means anything. Last week Newt appeared on stage with Trump.

NO doubt Bobby Knight had something to do with this.
You betcha! I also agree with you that it's been Governor Pence's decision to accept or reject.
He's a safe choice and I'll wager he will be much tougher than several here are currently crediting him.
He is very likeable.

It makes sense. They floated his name out a few weeks ago, then there was an article about him being given the offer and he had 15 days to respond.
You have Trump in Indiana a lot. I think Indiana put him over the top. I think in that time, he saw a lot of Pence.
Pence is a TEa Party guy. He’s young and energetic. Has the best of both worlds, the legislative national scene experience and the local governorship where you run things.
I think he was a Cruz guy early on, but I think he’s full square with Trump.
He has the same convictions. Low taxes...etc.
They look good together. Solid family guy. No skeletons.
The rest of the field compared to him look ragged. Newt is the best but looks like a Grandpa JOnes with that gut.
There’s a place for him.
There’s a place for everybody.
What will get me, is if he picks Pence and the rubios and bushes and Romney’s and mccains stay home, then srew em...

Thanks for the information, but is there any concrete information that Pence is actually Trump’s pick - or is this just another rumor?

That's nice - tell us what you consider to be Pence's weak points without telling us who you think has the toughness and verbal skills, and why they are a better all-around choice......
So many "expert pundits" and so few who concentrate on the important crap....
