It’s not Cruz’s job to unify the party. It’s Trump’s.
What do people expect him to do?
He produced a lachrymose, bathos oozing video of poor, sad, Mr. Campaign bus driving away in the mists, while select Cruzlim Blubberhood acolytes blubbered, which they do well. It even features a sad, tinkling little string instument, which is at least a variation of the sad tinkling piano when a shakedown pitch is in order. Otherwise I think he buggered off to a kid free vacation, the stage props having served their purpose until needed again, and letting the senate votes take care of themselves.
