Hundreds march in Pittsburgh for Black Lives Matter

Sarafina Davis has had enough.

“I am tired of these police officers raging war on our black men, and not being held accountable for their actions,” she said.

So she decided to create a Black Lives Matter event that ended up attracting hundreds of people to Point State Park on Saturday.

She and her sister, Jobie Mack, 21, of West Mifflin, didn't expect the event to draw as many people as it did.

Pittsburgh police Chief Cameron McLay estimated the crowd at 1,300 as it headed from the Point up Liberty Avenue to Sixth Avenue, before about 500 returned to Point State Park.

In front of Port Authority's headquarters on Sixth Avenue, the march stopped to remember Bruce Kelley Jr., who was shot and killed by Port Authority police in January after fatally stabbing a police dog. District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. found the officers' use of deadly force to be justified.

Davis did not agree with Zappala's decision.

“We all watched the video; it wasn't,” Davis said.

While Black Lives Matter protests across the country had the potential to create “difficult and dangerous” situations, “What I felt here was different,” McLay said as the event broke up about 4 p.m.

If Black Lives really Matter, wonder if they swung by the Planned Parenthood that was right down the street. How many black babies died there yesterday?

And how irresponsible of Pittsburgh police chief McLay to force the cops to escort this group. That's exactly how the Dallas cops were ambushed. Furthermore, this group was un-permitted. No Tea Party group in this city has ever been permitted to assemble without a permit.

Does she matter? Have we heard her name? Her sister Melia 15 months shot in leg.

The “escort” is designed to protect the private property of people who really do matter, along with the physical safety of anyone that does matter that encounters the group. The police are not there to protect unassimilated trash looking for more free sh!t (that gets upset when police prevent them from getting it).

How many are protesting for justice? For equality under law? For the prosecution of Clinton & Co?

For Sarafina Davis and her fellow white-hating ilk, its not blacks killing blacks that arouse her to action.

No, its cops keeping America safe from black criminal trash that leads to her hit the streets in outrage.

Its all about priorities.

To be honest, I have thought all along that the worry about all the chaos and racial discord to give Obama the opportunity to declare martial law and stop the election was about 75% conspiracy theory....

Not any more...The past month has made me change my mind to about 10% conspiracy and 90% accurate...

Let me guess, Sarafina believes the reason she has no husband or father is because those damn white cops are killing all the black men. Bizarre.

There is a clue here. Sarafina and her sister both have different names. Wanna bet neither or mama have been married?

t of Port Authority's headquarters on Sixth Avenue, the march stopped to remember Bruce Kelley Jr., who was shot and killed by Port Authority police in January after fatally stabbing a police dog.

so, the port authority cop stabbed the dog first?

Worse, it took place in what I call my favorite American city. I just passed through it early last week on my way to a conference.

So, BLM finally had a Chicago “March” this week.
It was about cops. Not a mention of the daily black on black slaughter on the south and west sides.

Why are we allowing these protesters on city streets and highways where businesses are trying to make a living, people live and children play??

Cordon off a large empty field near the city, put a WALL around it with four sides protected by prison-like towers with sharp shooters in them.

Now the protesters can yell, scream, call names and any other thing they desire inside this field. If you get outside, you will be taken to the brig. There is a huge difference between protesting and inciting a riot. It is time this difference was explained to the people again and enforced.

Pittsburgh was also having its 250th anniversary with fireworks so there were a lot of people downtown anyway.

Dems figure if they can get them motivated enough to protest they might be motivated enough to vote in the fall. It’s not hard to figure out what is going on.

http://www.lincoln.edu/criminaljustice/hr/Assembly.htm

“Peaceable assembly” doesn’t include blocking a highway.

“Government officials may not impose restrictions on protests or parades or other lawful assemblies in order to censor a particular viewpoint or because they dislike the content of the message. However, they may impose some limitations on assembly rights by enacting reasonable “time, place and manner” restrictions designed to further legitimate regulatory objectives, such as preventing traffic congestion or prohibiting interference with nearby activities.”

We were staying at the Wyndham Grand just across the street from the park where the march ended. The group looked pretty silly...small...posting signs with stupid statements. The cops did a good job of directing the idgits...and didn’t look to concerned about them. Many bystanders shaking the cop’s hands. Wasted effort on the BLM part.
