The Executive Director of the Minnesota Police & Peace Officers Association released a strongly worded statement Friday regarding the recent officer-involved shootings.
"First of all, and most importantly, our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the recent tragic events in Falcon Heights, Dallas and Baton Rouge. The families and friends, the faith communities that provide much needed support to those affected they all need our prayers and support. The nation needs consoling at this time. Governor Daytons extraordinarily presumptive conclusion that the tragic incident in Falcon Heights was motivated by race is the height of political malfeasance that could lead to a miscarriage of justice, if not more violence. There is an active investigation under way. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is beyond reproach in its conduct. Until the facts are completely understood and assembled, our elected officials must instill confidence and reassurance while rejecting incendiary terms that could provoke more violence. Invoking racism without foundation of fact is incendiary.

Below is from the Sheriff of Fillmore County
The following is an email that I sent to Governor Dayton:
Governor Dayton,
As Sheriff of Fillmore County, in our great state of Minnesota, I am compelled to respond to the remarks that you made concerning the tragic Falcon Heights shooting. Your remarks were reckless, irresponsible, and surely will fuel or incite greater problems. I know as our governor there is a need to respond, but it is also your responsibility to do so in an unbiased manner, waiting patiently until the investigation is completed and all the facts are known. This is a very tragic event for the Castile family, the officers involved, their community, and our state. Our state needs you as our governor, and other leaders, to help bring this to a calm, peaceful, just resolution and not as you have been doing. Thank you for your time and attention to my response.
Fillmore County Sheriff Tom Kaase
I know Ramsey County said they did not issue one nor where they asked to.
I read Hennipen County did issue one to him.
Rednecks come in many colors
Dayton has Dallas blood on his hands along with Obama.
Keep in mind, however, that the Dallas killer did not form over night.
Maybe Comey can head up to Minnie-sota and assure Dayton that his words were unintentional. /S
Who knows, maybe the bumblers in DC couldn’t guard his office well enough. How does Comey, who let Hillary slide, tie into this?
Uh uh! He's learned from his master, Bowbama!
What’s your point?
so much for asking you to correct the spelling of 1 word....my comment was totally deleted. So for all of you that wonder why POST #1 is gone - I asked to have the word “able” corrected to “about”. I am glad that this statement was make and calls out the Gov. for his reckless irresponsible comment calling the shooting racist before any facts are known
Unintentional, ala, Kankles.
Why do you ask?
Go back to when you posted and copy it, correct it and repost it. If you can.
I believe the Governor would have been quite correct to point out that racism was a factor in the confluence of events that led to the tragedy. It’s an ugly wicked brew boiling beneath the surface of the country.
But granted the Governor also erred by not attempting to be conciliatory in the face of it. Racism is not an insuperable problem, nor are other follies that played into this tragedy. We should learn lessons so as to put an end to this kind of death.
It is my understanding, blueyon, that comments cannot be edited, even by the moderator.
“””””And said something he did. In doing so, he stepped with his Minnetonka-made moccassins square upon the burning bad of dog poop.””””
I live in Minnetonka.
I wear Minnetonka moccasins.
They are made in CHINA.
It pisses me off.
Thanks for the idea..I tried and because I got off the computer for a few mins I can not back up to it.....searched history and it all has comment deleted :( It is Ok, I just do NOT want anyone to think I made a bad comment and that is why it was removed because I did not
Maybe that is an integrity feature, though it could also be solved by making edits marked as such and “at the request of” so and so.
How about some facts...
book - The War on Cops by Heather MacDonald
She was interviewed on Rush’s show the other day. Cops are 18 times more likely to be shot by a black guy than a black guy is by a cop. Black and Hispanic cops are more likely to use force than white cops.
The racist cop meme is BS.
Why did you ask me to keep in mind what you did?
