Has John Kasich really left the race for the presidency?
In recent days, the words and actions of the Republican Ohio governor and his political staff have made the question worth asking.
In early April, Barrons ran a cover story on Kasich, arguing that his policy prescriptions, experience, and temperament make him the GOPs best bet to reassure a nervous marketplace. The Barrons piece also pointed out that Kasich, unlike Trump and Ted Cruz, was handily beating Hillary Clinton in the polls.
A month later, on May 4, Kasich suspended his race for the GOP nomination after it became clear that Trump was on his way to winning on the first ballot. Ted Cruz, who had racked up the second-highest number of delegates, had dropped out one day earlier.
Since then, Kasich, who has refrained from endorsing Trump, has been keeping a low profile back in Ohio and giving few interviews about presidential politics. Though political observers and online betting parlors alike had once viewed Kasich as the leading choice to be any GOP nominees running mate, that possibility diminished because of the governors clear distaste for Trump.
Kasich has said that he will be in Cleveland during the week of the convention the event starts Monday, July 18 but has no plans to participate.

I don’t think that statement hold water. Romney, McCain, and Dole were all “moderate” and got their clocks cleaned. The problem with these “moderates” is that they don’t fight back so that they stay above the fray. Of course, whatever the rats paint them as sticks.
Kasich is a moron who only carried one state. He’s not even going to be at the convention.
Hes so moderate that millions of Dems and the majority of independents would vote for him.
do you often engage in such intemperate daydreaming...?
Before Kasich left the race OVER NINETY PERCENT OF REPUBLICANS WERE VOTING AGAINST HIM.
The author though this article up with lubricant and self-gratification.
Ohio politicians are not going to do anything at the convention but hear what a shithole Cleveland has become.
“Other that mitt, who would vote for this degenerate moron?”
Paul Ryan.
I don’t think many republicans would vote for him as he is the same as Hillary.
Beat me to it!!
“Other than mitt, who would vote for this degenerate moron?”

See post #11. Apparently TangledUpInBlue would vote for Kasich.
and that was more than likely all fraud...
DOES HE WANT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO DIG THE DIRT ON HIM AND CONDIT...DOES HE WANT HIS TEENAGE DAUGHTERS TO KNOW OF HIS PAST IN WASHINGTON?
IF THE GOP/RNC TRY ANY, ANY DIRTY TRICKS THEY WILL KILL THE PARTY COMPLETELY...
DONALD J. TRUMP WON...AND HE PAID HIS OWN WAY, HE IS NOT BOUGHT AND SOLD..AND THE ‘PARTY’ BETTER SOON LEARN THAT...WE VOTED AND WE CHOSE, NOT THE PARTY...
WAKE UP AMERICA...
He’s not the same. Not at all. I believe him to be a patriot and also NOT be a criminal. He’d be worlds better than Hillary.
Kasich is a butt-rodentm, par excellence.
I think most Republicans would SAY that, but they’d all vote for him. Just like the people now saying they won’t vote for Trump. In the end, I believe they will. Because they’re staring evil in the face otherwise. It’s the silent majority Trump seems to be counting on.
I can disagree with that. But if you look at just about any poll, Kasich kills Hillary. Sure, he didn’t do well in a primary when the majority of voters are much further to the right than the general electorate come November. Kasich would pull in millions of people. And as I’ve said elsewhere, I think people would protest openly about him, but once the curtain closes behind them - they’d vote John.
That said, we agree. If the GOP pulls any convention shenanigans, that’s a different story. It will kill the party.
these guys need to accept the fact that Trump is the man and begin working with him to turn this country around. I don’t like some of Trump’s ways but he has a good platform and is the only chance we have of saving this country. But he can’t do it alone, he needs the help of ALL the conservative and Republican leadership, and they must get with it now!!
Listing all the things decent people distrust about Kasich is like listing all the evil positions taken by the thug occupying our White House. No one could live long enough to finish either task. I just listed a few of the highlights from that big government liberal's main positions.
Ouch!!! LOL!!
Nope. Here’s one (registered) R that would never vote for Kasich even if it was him against hiLIARy.
#neverkasich
