How long did the government wait out the Bundy’s? Should they have instead dropped a bomb in? No one was being hurt or risked after the opening shots, there really doesn’t appear to be a rush, they could have waited him out. Using a bomb sets a really bad precedence.
Um, yeah, people were in danger afterwards. He was in an elevated position in a parking tower with potential to hit people in a quarter of downtown Dallas as soon as the sun came up. The tower was a high rise building with open sides interrupted by waist high walls and no good sight lines in for police snipers.
Again, what would you have the police do? Wait for the sun to come up so he can shoot more people?
