FBI Director James Comey said Thursday that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may not have been "sophisticated enough" to understand the classified markings on emails she sent and received, which explains why did didn't know she was breaking the letter of the law.
Under intense questioning from Republicans, Mr. Comey said Mrs. Clinton’s public explanations of her behavior were not true. But he said his investigators couldn’t find evidence that Mrs. Clinton intended to break the law, which he said is the key to making a criminal case.

Democrats praised Mr. Comey for his findings, and blasted the GOP for demanding he testify in the first place.
"Today's hearing is political theater," said Rep. Gerry Connolly, Virginia Democrat.

In other threads, it's been discussed how because this is all executive branch activity, the president is the authority for all security clearances. He doesn't need one - and it appears that neither do his direct appointees.

Comey is not sophisticated enough to be any employee of the FBI forget director.
But she did sign the SF4414.
The Democrat bastards in the hearing today were once again defending the indefensible.
One would think the Secretary of State would consider all her work related correspondence as classified.
Who has the sound bite and can make an ad for Trump?
Isn’t she the smartest woman in the world? Wasn’t she able to turn $1,000 into $100,000 by reading the Wall Street Journal?
Well, she’s certainly savvy enough to play you for a fool Comey. That’s right, you’re covering for a criminal president and one of his head flackies and now you have egg all over your silly face.

Question: was Clinton allowed to have a lawyer in the room with her,if so, how many....they would NOT have allowed any questions that would incriminate her.
Question #2....it became apparent that Dir. Comey WAS NOT in attendance during Ms. Clintons questioning....which will be beneficial to him down the road.....question #3....IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEGLIGENCE AND CARELESSNESS.....?
Then there is the question of her perjuries and the Clinton Global Initiative and her part in the Syrian debacle.
The stench around Hillary is being picked up by the trade winds and beginning to encircle the earth like heavy ash from a hellish irruption.
Democrats will still vote for her in droves. Unbelievable.
