Woman Facebook live-streams her dying boyfriend seconds after he is shot four times by a cop as his mother says police kept her from her son's deathbed and claims the girlfriend is now missing ===============================================
The devastated mother of a black man who was shot dead by a cop and whose death was live-streamed on Facebook by his girlfriend says she was prevented from seeing him on his deathbed.
Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night, also claimed they have been unable to locate Diamond Reynolds, his girlfriend, since she was arrested by police.
The shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting has sparked protests in Saint Paul, with hundreds of people descending on the Governor of Minnesota's house demanding justice. It is the second controversial police shooting of a black man to emerge in 24 hours.
In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a 'Chinese police officer'.
She claims the cop, from the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, asked Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a Montessori school in St Paul, to show his license, but then shot him four times while he reached for it.
As she talks, she moves the camera across to show Castile, bloody and losing consciousness, and the cop - still pointing his gun, as her young daughter sits in the back seat.
The police officer, who is yet to be identified, been placed on paid leave.

He was the driver. The video is reversed for some reason. His position appears to be that of a passenger (in American cars anyway) but the steering wheel is in front of him, not the woman.
Again, the video has left and right reversed for some reason.
I have never had any trouble with cops in this situation. Perhaps because I’m pretty unthreatening in manner and am always scrupulously polite and nice to cops when they approach. And I have been reaching across to the glove compartment for the insurance card...
The composure of this woman is remarkable.
Guess your family tree doesn’t have any g.g.grandmas who were 14 when they married. Mine does.
Video was reversed. The decedent was actually the driver.
When cops have an “us vs them” mentality, every interaction with the public is expected to go bad...a self fulfilling prophesy.
As far as the calmness of the girlfriend, she was obviously in desperate fear of her life and trying to talk down a crazy, irrational maniac who had a gun pointed at her. If she had “freaked out”, she’d be dead, and she knew it.
Like I said. Do it your way. Have fun. Again, you are deciding what to do and when and what you think is best. Not a good idea.
Its for the cop to decide to tell you when to get into the wallet the glovebox, etc.
He has a way he does things at every stop. And then he encounters you, sees you rooting around, waving things out the window, etc.
Far better to just sit there hands on the wheel, and politely and slowly respond to his commands and requests as he gives them.
Front-facing cameras on smart phones will often reverse the image.
Here she is today:
Yeahhhh... this isn’t little house on the praire anymore. Go take doing 14 year olds somewhere else.
It’s not the law everywhere.
“FR certainly has changed over the years.”
No, cops have changed over the years. One wonders how many of them are using drugs.
MN is carry. Not CC.
Not making a difference here, just FYI for everyone.
He was the driver. The steering wheel is clearly visible in front of him in the full video.
This is what we need to hear more of rather than the knee-jerk reactions of people to a shooting.
Body cameras and dash cameras should be required for all law enforcement in order to protect BOTH law enforcement AND citizens.
If there is a "faulty" camera, then I am less inclined to believe the law enforcement version.
But in all cases, it would be best to have all evidence before making decisions about what happened. Video provides a strong testimony.
Im guessing not all 4 went in his arm.. guessing..
You have to ask yourself how many more times has this happened in cases where there were no videos and only side of the story your hear is the cop's side.
Dead men tell no tales.
A camera can only see what's in front of it. Reversing the image might be some sort of application feature, but other than that I think it would have to be reversed by the software decoding it.
IMO it seems she does not think the wound is that serious, at first. She even says on the video that "he shot my boyfriend in the arm" or "shot his arm off", something like that. I think as it appears her boyfriend is unresponsive, then I think she realizes it might be serious.
Still, she did really well. Probably better than I would have done if someone had just shot the driver of the car I was in and was pointing their gun at me while the driver was bleeding out...
No, the video is just reversed. Here is a normal picture of the car, and as you can see the steering wheel is on the correct side for the US.
I initially thought he was the passenger...but the steering wheel is on his side. I think the phone flop-flipped everything around.
So where is this young woman Reynolds now?
It is absolutely horrible that after murdering her boyfriend in front of her and her little girl that they made her kneel on the ground and handcuffed her.
They took her away handcuffed in cop car. Why?
