I’m not sorry Gretch is gone because I didn’t appreciate her anti gun remarks and she has never been the sharpest pencil in the Fox News drawer. But if Ailes has it coming let her sue. He’s no choir boy.

I just have to say I am not heartened by the “nuts & sluts” attitude I sense in many comments. Gretchen is an upstanding quality individual. I believe her 100 per cent.
I remember when she first started on F&F. She was out of her depth. She quickly became informed on all subjects and brought notes to the show with her. A quick study because her new job demanded it.
She is intelligent and still very good looking. Long in the tooth my arse. I am ashamed at how so many of you are willing to throw her under the bus.
Contract non renewal, DUH! They couldn’t fire her, she had a contract. You don’t get a contract renewal the day before your old one expires. This has been in the works for awhile. Everyone had to wait until the contract expired as not to violate its provisions.
Her show was number one in her time slot. Nobody watches TV that time of day. Good time slot for a mom.
She doesn’t need the money. Hubby has a good job, she made good money, and has marketable skills and will get the job and salary she wants, if she wants it.
Waited 11 years or why now? Maybe it just started. Maybe it has been escalating. Maybe up until now it has been innuendos? Maybe she just finally had ENOUGH.
Why automatically take her side? Because she is credible. This takes a lot of guts. Too many men don’t respect women. Too many men, in powerful positions, will try and take advantage of women.
Would I put this past Ailes? No. Do I believe he would do such a thing, yes. Do I believer her over him, YES.

Doesn’t mean it was the ONLY reason. Also this would have made her an easy target.
Laurie Dhue had a long battle with alcohol. Went thru rehab and is now working for (gulp) Glenn Beck over at The Blaze TV.

Ah, the children excuse. Like Hasslebeck. Again, might not have been the only reason.
People attack Gretchen for waiting 11 years, well maybe some of these other women decided earlier on, that it wasn’t worth the harassment.

"Gretchen Carlson is renewing her push for an AR-15 ban, firing off a series of tweets further criticizing AR-15s and pointed to her daughter’s work with a Newtown charity.
Breitbart News reported that Carlson said that AR-15s are not needed “to hunt or kill deer” and suggested they only serve to enable terrorists to carry out their attacks with greater efficiency. She quoted a December 2015 poll showing majority support for an “assault weapons” ban and said, “I’m with the majority today, taking a stand.”
When confronted by Second Amendment supporters on Twitter, Carlson doubled down on her pro-ban stance, sometimes conflating an AR-15 with the 30-round magazines that can be used in such a firearm.
For example, a Twitter user named Greg tweeted to remind Carlson that our Founding Fathers did not write the Second Amendment so we could hunt. Greg wrote: “2nd amendment was not written to protect deer hunting Gretchen.”
Carlson responded: “It also wasn’t written to blow away people with 30 rounds.”
