At any rate let us send lots of kneemail to Heaven. There may yet be a greater faith basis left in America than existed in Russia’s situation, even though it has been chipped at around the edges. Perhaps enough Christians who know that it’s about something in a different world than that of physical wedding cakes, and don’t let that distract them.
Maybe this present evil isn’t going to be long for the ascendancy, for the time being. People being fickle, this could change again. Less faith in God means less blessings. But God, the Master, knows where every soul is and can easily arrange for a high concentration of faith where He wants it to be.
My hope is in God. Perhaps God will work a salvation that even becomes visible on the civic scene. But if He does, it will be visible on the radar screens of our private hearts first.

Whether this is good theology, I don’t know: But maybe there is more than one way to mean “Come, Lord Jesus.” There is the eschatological sense of the literal Second Coming where Jesus puts in a personal physical appearance on earth. But then there could be the spiritual sense in which the Holy Spirit gains in influence among accepting, willing hearts. What would follow, then, would commonly be called evangelism. But it is the sharing of faith by anyone illuminated by the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t have to be a Billy Graham.

Totally agree. I see signs of God every day in some context, and despite all the selfishness and hurt in the world, there are often acts by people that are inspiring and amazing. Recently there was a thread on FR about a little girl who gave away her birthday gifts to help people.
Things like this inspire, because they are reflections of the nature that God has.
Most serious world faiths have a general idea about such things. Christianity puts the story together in a way that has yet to be beat, through straining some of our intuitive notions of God. If I were to try to invent a monotheistic faith, I wouldn’t come up with a trinity of Persons. I’d get laughed away, the philosophy would seem absurd. But without that, we can’t really explain Love, with all its fruits. God bared His soul, and we laughed at it. So what’s new under the sun?
Fox this morning was interviewing the CEO of the largest coal company who was complaining about the Obama administration's destruction of the coal industry and pointing out how Hillary was getting campaign money from those who profit from the decline of the coal industry. When he said Obama is destroying the country they cut him off rudely and didn't let him say anything further.
