Are we overlooking the fact that Bill Clinton planned the meeting to compromise Loretta Lynch, and in that way have political pressure put on Loretta Lynch to resign or recuse herself from the case?

We know that Lynch had publicly stated she would abide by what the FBI investigators recommend -- and that would probably be to ask for an indictment.

But if pressure is put on Lynch to resign, a new AG more friendly to the Clintons could be put in to stifle any indictment.

In any case, if this is the conspiracy, look for certain Democrat congressmen, or the NYT or WaPo to criticize Lynch and call for her resignation.

The only trouble with that plan is it could backfire.

But this is clearly a desperate gambit by Bill Clinton to try to stop an indictment that Lynch is determined to not block if the FBI asks for a criminal indictment.

Where's Columbo when we need him? :- )

Nah. I think that is quite a stretch. There is little evidence of people in the Obama admin resigning. Everyone doubles down these days. Lynch seems Clinton friendly from what I see. Of course there may be things going on we don't see
