Night, Dawn and Day.
They are short books but I do not suggest reading them all in one sitting.
They are sort of like C.S. Lewis books. Read a bit and then chew what you read over for a bit.
I read that as part of a “Philosophy of Evil” course I took in college. Needed to squeeze a few credits in between semesters. In the three-week course we had to read a book every two or three days. That one stuck out in my mind all these years. Another one was “Kristus och Judas” about the necessity of Judas’ role in leading to Christ’s redemption. Somewhat similar argument as in Boethius’ Consolation of Philosophy.
There’s two versions... I’m reading the translation by his wife - it’s closer to the original.
