We already know the DOJ is compromised and corrupt; the issue at hand is the FBI, who is running the criminal investigation. If the FBI finds criminal activity and recommends criminal prosecution yet the DOJ (who just met surreptitiously with the husband of the investigation's target, who also appointed the DOJ's current head to public office while POTUS), declines to prosecute, Clinton remains a tainted candidate against whom the FBI can leak damaging information all campaign long while Trump confronts Clinton and the DOJ for corrupt collusion straight on.
