I want President Trump to take the whole stack of signed but unratified treaties, present them to the Senate and have them voted down to get them out of the limbo of international law. Some lawyers and politicians have argued that signed treaties should be treated as in effect until their ratification is voted down and then not present them to the Senate. Well then clear them out and make it clear to the world that bad treaties mean nothing.

Well that’s just silly.
The Presidents’ signature on a treaty just means it is accepted as a proposal to be considered, and is no longer a work-in-progress draft. Nothing at all more.

There is no limbo, unratified treaties have no force of law, any lawyer that says otherwise is full of crap. If I were President, I would unirate on them.
