I can’t see Paul accepting.
I like his voting record, but don’t like his attacks on President Trump. Did Trump state a name for the plot to kill Kennedy that was spearheaded by Lyndon Bird?
Yes, but remember, the good citizens (denizens?) of those cities faithfully vote democRAT. Early and often.
I understand that Ohio Senator Rob Portman is good on trade issues.
Been reading a few posts about former PA Senator Rick Santorum who appeared on Fox and FBN this week speaking highly of Trump, although I am aware he lost his reelection.
Thought for a while that Iowa’s Senator Joni Ernst might help but she hasn’t had much good to say regarding Trump.
From the states you list, only Portman could make a difference, Would be interesting if Killary taps Sherrod Brown.
BTW, I wish Rubio was not so terrible on immigration/Gang of 8. He has the youthful charisma that might bring in swing voters. Meanwhile, I hope Governor Rick Scott does everything he can to deliver Florida, although he has declined the Veep slot.
A random homeless guy found out under a bridge would be a better running mate than the loser Rick Santorum
I also think it will be Rand Paul!!! Trump will pull voters away from the wackadoodle Johnson!!!! Rand Paul would not be a bad choice, much better than Christy!!! I think Paul could hold his own against Pocahantis!!!
No way.Trump will get slammed in NJ election if Fat Boy is on the ticket.
Yes, Christie would be a disaster for Trump. I see enough Trump stickers on work trucks to make me believe the state is actually in play.
Christie would cost Trump his home state of New Jersey, not win it.
Maybe Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. (Definitely not Secretary of Transportation.)
Hopefully, Trump's advisers are just playing with the MSM. If Christie were appointed HUD secretary or AG, he'd need to be vetted anyway. If Trump is seriously considering Christie, it means he's an idiot and that means that any idiot can become a billionaire. And I don't think that is the case.
I’m sure it differs from state to state, but a bond usually has to pay for something that will last as long as the bond term. So, a 15 year bond could pay for a new bridge...but couldn’t pay for pothole patching, etc.
Not that I agree with the notion that there’s an instantaneous crisis here - he’s acting as if there is a zero balance in the state highway fund, and if that’s true, the state should have never started these projects in the first place.
I totally agree with you. The only strong PA conservative, I suppose, is Toomey, but he publicly declared he had voted for Cruz. Trump has two avid PA Congressmen in his corner: Lou Barletta and Tom Marino,
I’ve heard people mention Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge but he is too liberal on social issues.
Sessions was born in Selma, Alabama, the son of Abbie (née Powe) and Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, Jr. His father owned a general store in Hybart, Alabama and then a farm equipment dealership. Sessions has English, and some Scots-Irish, ancestry. Both of Sessions' parents are of primarily English ancestry.
After attending school in nearby Camden, Sessions studied at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969. He was active in the Young Republicans and was student body president there. Sessions attended the University of Alabama School of Law and graduated with his J.D. in 1973.
Sessions entered private practice in Russellville and later in Mobile, where he now lives. He also served in the Army Reserve in the 1970s, achieving the rank of captain.
Sessions and his wife Mary have three grown children and six grandchildren.

But maybe it’s Rubio’s take on Immigration that softens Trump’s take on it and actually brings in some votes? How could the Dems attack Rubio on immigration?
And he is a young, polished articulate speaker. I actually like him save the Gof8 thing. But I wonder if FL does? He didn’t win anywhere there.
I like your take on Rubio.
Back in the primary, Trump won 66 of Florida’s 67 counties.
Rubio won Miami-Dade, which has the higher Cuban population.
He could also be an asset in Arizona and perhaps make California more interesting.
No....No....No.....No....
I have learned from fellow FReepers that Mr. Trump takes GREAT decisions, yet you say his FIRST major decision as nominee might be a LOUSY one???
NO.....NO......NO......NO.....NO......NO.....NAAAA, NAAAAA, NAAAAA, NAAAAAA, NAAAAAA, NAAAAA...........
This doesn’t actually sound like a Trump decision. As others have suggested, perhaps misdirection.
Christie has won multiple times in NJ; I don’t think he’d be a good running mate for Trump, but taxpayers here in NJ have a positive view of Christie - and his list of enemies speaks for itself.
