New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich are among the finalists to be Donald Trump's running mate, sources confirmed to CNN on Thursday...

The New York Times was first to report Christie's vetting. The Washington Post reported Thursday evening that Gingrich was also being vetted, with Sens. Jeff Sessions, R-Alabama, and Bob Corker, R-Tennessee, also emerging as final contenders, but a source very close to the campaign said the Post's report was inaccurate. The source added, however, that a surprise choice could also be in store.

I’m going to have a hard time with this if Christie is the pick. I mean I will vote for TRUMP but I absolutely detest the fat POS from my home state. He tried to impose a $.23 tax increase on gas claiming it would be a good thing. Thankfully the senate stopped that stupidity yesterday.

The Gingrich-Pelosi ad was in 2008--just eight years ago. Surely we can find a better VP candidate than some washed-up has-been who carries enough baggage to sink the Queen Mary.
