I liked my friends and had respect for them and many had my back. Now most of what is left on FR only have a knife for one’s back.
I is a very sad state of affairs and sadder still is that so many don’t see it that way.
FR is much the worst for lack of open and honest debt and has grown as intolerant of any who won’t take the ‘blood oath’.
Charley Waite: “Well you may not know this, but there’s things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.”
Any one telling me I must think like they do no matter how right they judge their cause is something that ‘gnaws’ on me. And the fact that such demands don’t raises the hackles of more including those who hold those believes makes me fear for the republic as much and maybe even a little more than anything the left is presently up to.
Well this will get me zotted for sure now, but then if it does it will only go to prove my point.

Friend, we had the debate for ten long months on this website, while the primary was ongoing. That debate, and the primary, is now over. Trump won them both - in commanding fashion.
If you followed the primary and the tens of thousands of discussions here, and still came away disbelieving in Trump, I don’t know how to help you. He won the race because he was, far and away, the best person for the job. It’s really that simple.
You pine and weep for a bunch of wooden headed imbeciles who failed to think past their own preconceived notions of a man whose stated policies and deep seated beliefs, are more in tune with conservative Americans, than any candidate we’ve seen in a generation.
Some of them were my friends, too, but they proved themselves incapable of rational thought and analysis when it mattered most. Perhaps someday they’ll figure out what most Republican voters concluded about Trump early on. I really hope so. We need them on our side.
