U.S. Rep. Dave Brat, R-7th, says former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich would be Donald Trump’s smartest choice for a running mate.
In an appearance Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Brat promoted his new book, “American Underdog: Proof that Principles Matter.”
Brat was asked who would be the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s smartest choice politically for vice president.
“I think Newt,” said Brat, referring to Gingrich, the former Georgia congressman who served as House speaker from 1995 to 1999.
Gingrich is “politically savvy, he’s forward-looking” on innovation and technology, is “always ahead of the curve” and “has more books out than anyone up there,” Brat said...

Trump needs to pick a generic dude; not some guy who wante to spring an amnesty surprise on the heartless GOP primary voter.
Gingrich wasn’t much different to Cantor. The difference is Obama was completely insane compared to Bill Clinton.

I was thinking he should pick Mia Love just to immediately neutralize Hitlerys constant yapping about him being racist and sexist, but I don’t think Mia has the experience. But then again neither did the community organizer.

Newt Gingrich might be a fine campaign advisor, but he would probably be the worst Republican on the political scene that Trump could ever pick as a running mate.
