PHOENIX - Amid an ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of email and hours before the public release of the Benghazi report, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch met privately with former President Bill Clinton.
The private meeting took place on the west side of Sky Harbor International Airport on board a parked private plane.
Former President Clinton was visiting the Phoenix area and arrived to Sky Harbor Monday evening to depart.
Sources tell ABC15, Clinton was notified Lynch would be arriving at the airport soon and waited for her arrival.
Lynch was arriving in Phoenix for a planned visit as part of her national tour to promote community policing.
ABC15 asked Lynch about the meeting during her news conference at the Phoenix Police Department.
"I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as he was leaving and spoke to myself and my husband on the plane," said Lynch.
The private meeting comes as Lynch's office is in charge of the ongoing investigation and potential charges involving Clinton's email server.
The private meeting also occurred hours before the Benghazi report was released publicly involving Hillary Clinton and President Obama's administration.
Lynch said the private meeting on the tarmac did not involve these topics.
"Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren, it was primarily social about our travels and he mentioned golf he played in Phoenix," said Lynch Tuesday afternoon while speaking at the Phoenix Police Department.
Sources say the private meeting at the airport lasted around 30 minutes.
"There was no discussion on any matter pending before the Department or any matter pending with any other body, there was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of State Department emails, by way of example I would say it was current news of the day, the Brexit decision and what it would mean."

OK, does anyone ELSE know the concept of “Caesar’s Wife”? The idea that public officials and their associates should make every effort to avoid even the appearance of corruption. Of course, when talking about the current crop of leftists and their compliant media enablers, this is a deprecated concept!
Here we have the chief Law Enforcement Officer of the nation, meeting with the spouse of the subject of two active FBI investigations, who is also the presumptive nominee of their mutual political party and she says that it was just a discussion of family? When she has already stated that even though her boss, the President, has endorsed Hillary, she, the Attorney General, sees no problem in the length of time that this investigation is taking.
How much clearer can it be that this Administration regards us, the citizens, as being too stupid to read the tea leaves. So long as they have the money machine and the media, they can do no wrong!

Actually that could all be true. There are lots of ways of communicating something. "Say, Loretta how is your family doing?" could clearly communicate a threat if said the right way with the right body language. At that level one doesn't always have to speak about a topic directly.
Imagine an episode of Law and Order where a well-connected politician spouse of a high profile defendant in an espionage case privately meets with the district attorney, and it is brushed off to the press as just an exchange of pleasantries. It seems highly improbable that such a scenario wouldn’t be aggressively challenged as legal corruption, but yet here we are.
Remember when the corrupt ruling classes have fallen they usually engage in their nefarious activity until the bitter end even though they know it is over. They usually are in denial until the judge slams his gavel down, when they hear the clank of the cell gate lock, when they get rope put around their neck, or when the guillotine blade falls down on their neck. These clowns are no different.
