Coincidence that a couple of days later this bombing happens?
I didn’t know Turkish airports had gay bars in them. Who’da thunk?
Must be just a little workplace violence over the last yogurt cup in the staff lunchroom.
I wonder what happened? I wish we could pin point the reason.
No statement yet from Imam Obama?
Other thread poster noted that Israel and Turkey agreed to normalize relations this week.
Just talked to my son several times who lives there. He was on way to airport to pick up our daughter-in-law who was just returning from US.
Trying to track her flight now but was scheduled to land after the blasts occured.
We will be tourists there later this year when we visit.
Radical Amish terrorists?
He’s playing golf today...and it was the Amish or ‘work place violence’ that caused this.../s
**** Probably a couple of disgruntled baggage handlers ****
Last year this happened, too, IIRC. Cargo blown up as people frowned on Business as usual during Ramadan.
Security opened fire so the Muslim Tourists blew themselves up ?
Coming (again) soon to an airport near you.
Glenn Beck finally went?...............
I stayed 4 nights in Istanbul was there on the day that a car bomb targeted a police bus. It was in an area not far from the University of Istanbul. The hotel I stayed at had about 53 rooms and is normally booked full. When I was there they had only 5 paying guests. There were no real lines at any of the major tourist attractions in Istanbul that I went to.
In talking to people Germans and Russian had been the major tourists. After the Turks shot down the Russian jet and Russia and Turkey imposed sanctions on each other, Russian tourists disappeared. After the ISIS bomber targeted a group of German Tourists, German tourists have disappeared. This will just increase the tourism death spiral that will harm the economy.
I’m surprised the airport is still named after Ataturk.
