Police in Central California say two family dogs killed a 3-day-old baby after her mother left her on the couch and walked away for a few seconds...
The girls mother had left the door open because it was hot and she thought the dogs were tied up in the back yard.
The baby died at a hospital shortly after the attack.
the two male dogs, which are believed to be a mix of shar-pei and pit bull are owned by the womans brother.

Neuter the owners.
Exactly. Out of the blue, for NO apparent reason.
My neighbor had a pit and for 2-3 years we met with other neighbors in the park in the afternoon. She loved my corgi. One day as we sat with the dogs curled up at our feet the pit looked at my corgi, and next second had her teeth buried in her neck. It was a horrible experience and my dog had 18 stiches, and another neighbor who helped rescue her had 12. Nightmare.
First question from pit owner? What did your dog DO to make her get attacked? She was lying at my feet, napping.
I’ve heard toooo many stories like this about this breed.
Says the person who threatens to shoot anyone with a difference of opinion.
Libtards say the same thing of gun owners.
youths
“Dey got in dey S’clade”.
carry hornet killing spray maybe...dunno if will stop a pit bull but i heard that it works well against their human cousins the muslims...
All of those little dogs are nasty little sh!ts.
This is why I won’t work in people’s homes anymore. It’s not the big dogs.. it’s all dogs.
One of my clients had a Burmese mountain dog. It’s a favorite breed of mine. But after 3 years of being the most peaceful dog it just lashed out and got my arm.
I don’t have dogs in my home, and I won’t. I had a cat, but even the cat got a bit crazy when the baby was born. After 8 years of being my best buddy the cat had to go.
Animals and people aren’t meant to have the relationship that we do. Dogs are right for some, not for most.
My sister has 8 rottweilers. I won’t go there. She says they are fine but I simply don’t trust it. I compare it to taking my daughter to a halfway house. There are a bunch of guys with reputation and chances are nothing will happen - but why even contemplate it ?
Just stay away.
I agree. Not just the dogs. As a general rule, a good majority of dog owners themselves have a few screws loose. As if your attitude toward their dog is what makes you a good or bad person, among other idiotic modes of confusion.
You would, if it was your pit-bull that suddenly, without warning, mauled some kid to death, and the law was gonna put your head in the noose for it.
When you refer to “uncropped Great Dane” are you referring to a Dane with natural ears or a male that’s kept his testicles? My Dane has been neutered but has not had his ears altered.
My other dog was supposed to be a Daneador but turned out to be a Pitador. I finally decided he was half AST when I met an AST at the vet’s and it looked so strikingly similar to my Pitador that I decided the “pit” part of my dog was AST. Be that as it may, he’s a great dog with more assertiveness, self-confidence and a generally bumpy attitude than any other dog I’ve ever had. If he hadn’t already gotten used to his current name, I’d have renamed him Rocky.
My 10 year old Pitador has similar strength. When I walk him, it’s like trying to walk a tractor.
If possible, head for high ground (top of a car or truck, cab of a pick-up truck, tree, etc.). Dogs can’t climb. Always have your cell phone on your and call for help.
Uncropped ears. The Beast is spayed but has natural ears. When their ears aren’t up it seems a lot of folks can’t identify them. My last Dane was a merle with natural ears and people thought she was a big Catahoula.
it's a pit bull but runs larger. Just keep your gun handy as with all pit bulls.
My Dane is a black and white mantled Dane. Imagine a black and white Beagle that weighs 110 lb. (Small for a Dane) and you get a good idea of what he looks like. His long , soft, floppy,
, black ears are really cool. One of the funniest sights is him running with those flopping ears. Personalitywise, he’s a bit timid and very loving. The Pitador decided from the very beginning to be boss and basically runs the Dane’s life. They’re great friends and love to do doggie WWE in the living room in front of me.
A gun is an inanimate object that can’t go off on its own absent some anticipated defect.
A dog a living creature than can act of its own accord.
I might also note that the Second Amendment says nothing about the right to keep and bear pitbulls.
How horrible. God bless this poor mother.
The dog could BE “one” victim in the tragedy, however it spread beyond the animal kingdom in this case. False dichotomies do not behoove us.
I’ve seen the suggestion that if accosted by a loose dog, to look the dog in the eye and tell it sternly to “Go Home.” That might change its idea of the role that it is playing.
