Democrats call for 'family sit-ins' on guns

House Democrats on Wednesday plan to stage a "national day of action" against gun violence that will feature "family sit-ins," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., announced.

Pelosi said the action would "carry forward the momentum" from the Democrats' takeover of the House floor last week. Democratic lawmakers staged a 25-hour sit-in which included attempts to disrupt the floor schedule and votes.

They demanded the GOP leadership allow consideration of two gun control bills, but relinquished the floor hours after the GOP adjourned the House for a week-long recess.

So...does a “family sit-in” involve liberal mommies & daddies dragging their offspring into the local Cabela’s, spreading blankets on the retail floor, with all chanting “Guns kill, ban them!!!” and “Our children are more important than your guns!!!” until the cops arrive?

I sure would like to see a time series data set for Baton Rouge. I went to college, then lived and worked there from 1965 to 1993, and it certainly wasn’t that bad. I can only surmise that much of the criminal class that got “cockroach-flooded” out of New Orleans by Katrina settled down in BR.
