Weeks after it was rumored that continued falling sales would propel PepsiCo to once again change the sweetener used in its main calorie-free beverage, Diet Pepsi, back to aspartame, the company announced plans to do just that Monday. PepsiCo said Monday that it would reintroduce aspartame-sweetened Diet Pepsi in September, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Despite reintroducing the aspartame-sweetened beverage, PepsiCo says it will continue to sell a version sweetened with a blend of sucralose (Splenda) and acesulfame potassium (branded as Ace K) that began to appear on shelves last summer.

Stevia is a sweetener that is basically, a weed. No glycemic index spike, tiny after-taste but very sweet, 100% natural. Knowing it is 100% natural I can tolerate the very minor “plant-taste” of this very sweet, safe, sweetener.
They could make Pepsi into beer and I would not drink it.
Pepsi is nasty.
standard issue.
“Havent had a canned drink since sometime in the 1980s. They all taste like malted battery acid.”
That is really offensive! There is no way melted battery acid would be that bad.
Ive gotten to the point that I read every label on any processed food. I dont care how small the amount supposedly is, if I find it then its banned.

My wife read an article recently about ground beef and how many parts per million of rat hairs and insect parts the gov says is allowable. She swore off hamburgers at fast food joints and at home.
Regrettably, I informed her that it was not just ground beef but almost all processed food. Her almost only option is to quit eating.
Then I told her she should read Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle” to see how it used to be and then she might not mind a few rat hairs, here and there.
Which is worse for you, cancer or diabetes?
Aspartame gave me nerve damage and numb feet. Avoid it.
How progressive...
Too late, Pepsico. I only drink seltzer now (ERRRPPP!!!).
Mixes well with whiskey, too.
A Tab and a couple of Twinkies for Navin's birthday.
I'm sure that's a joke that went over my head.
Go to youtube and look up “Churchkey” instrumental.
If you remember THAT, you’re at least as old as me.
;^)
Better yet, just buy peanut butter that is not sweetened at all. It’s better for you.
Adams. The only kind I’ve eaten for years besides Arrowhead Mills. Nothing but peanuts, salted kind okay but I prefer plain. Once a few months ago I got a kind with sweetener in it by accident, I had to throw it away.
These sweeteners are being put into peanut butters that didn’t have them previously.
These sweeteners end up back in the water cycle as they simply pass through. All water has it to some degree.
Aspartame can literally make you blind.

>> “ I wish they would bring back the Coke they used to sell in the green glass bottles” <<
The mexican Coke is made with the original formula, including cane sugar.
Boylan’s cola is also made with cane sugar.
I have a friend who had a severe toxic reaction to aspertame. It took about a year for her to get cleaned out and back to normal. I think she used it a lot, though, because her mother worked for Nutrasweet and brought the stuff home.
If ya don’t guzzle 180 calories of coke you settle for what’s next and that is Coke Zero at this homestead. Sometimes mixed with Captain Morgan, sometimes not.
