I hadn't thought it in those terms as we are not [yet anyway] totally a part of a supra nation.

We the people don't really control any of it any more. It is as you said, directly or indirectly they control it all and a whole lot more.

I could add to that list, will just put one: Immigration. It is 100% controlled by the DC ruling class. They want to control it all then hand it over to as yet unseen super powers.
