I think Trump is really sending a message to the media —
The facts are out there.
Trump has the facts.
Trump can put together a dense, fact-filled 35-page position paper on Hillary’s failings with no difficulty.
You can’t wish this stuff away.
The media is destroying itself by lying to the people at a time when the facts can be given directly to the people by Trump.
The media needs to get smart.
The media can go down with Hillary, or the media can change and at least be honest.
In short: You can choose to be scumbags, or you can choose to be decent professionals.
Trump is essentially finished with Hillary: she has already lost. She knows it — that’s why she’s been hiding for two weeks.
Now Trump is campaigning against the media. They’ve already lost as well, but he’s trying to convince them that they at least have a path forward, if they want to take it: just be honest.
I think your conclusions are dead on.
