That’s an interesting concept.

It could be a big help to the people in New York too.

Split off the non-big cities and you instantly come up with two more Conservative Senators.

The only problem is, New York City could break up into states the size of the current burroughs, and then you’d have more Liberal Senators as well.

I do think this concept has problems, but it is an interesting concept none the less.

The biggest challenge in any state would be gerrymandering the boundaries to keep the large, densely populated Democrat controlled cities from controlling any of the new states.

Even here in Texas the Democrats have taken control of the largest cities, with most of the conservatives escaping to the suburbs, exurbs, and rural areas.
