THE mayor of Calais says migrants living in the Jungle camp and others in France should be moved to Britain so Brits “take the consequences” of Brexit.

Natacha Bouchart wants a revision of the border deal between France and the UK, which at the moment sees border checks carried out in Calais to stop those trying to get to Britain illegally.

He's got it completely backwards. The jungle of Calais is partially what caused Brexit. I don't think it will be England blowing the Chunnel, it will be France when the muzzies flee Britain for the warm, inviting teat of the EU.

I think what the mayor is saying is that the EU allows the border control on France’s side of the border, i.e. France is obligated to stop immigrants on the French side. No EU, France lets them go (kind of like Mexico does on its border with us) and lets Britain deal with them on their end. No doubt once they set foot on British soil, they get some sort of rights/benefits until immigration sorts them out, and of course France could refuse to take them back. The cost of closing the tunnel would be huge, but it might have to come to that. “Europe is cut off”.
