I agree. When you look at the risk, the problems with living in that state, and the ultimate costs...

If folks could only focus on that before they get started.

Abusing drugs doesn’t make you feel better. Mostly, they make you feel nothing, or they make you feel different enough that you can ignore your life. When you sober up, your life (now even more screwed up) is still waiting for you. Some abusers hate the way drugs make them feel. But they’d rather do that than face their lives.

That is tha nature of those who are addicts....restless, irritable, and discontented. Until they learn a different way it is all they can do
