Henry Paulson, a Republican who was U.S. Treasury secretary during the 2008 financial meltdown, on Friday called a Donald Trump presidency unthinkable and said he will vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Paulson joins a growing list of establishment Republicans who say they will not cast a ballot in the Nov. 8 election for Trump, the partys presumptive nominee and a political neophyte whose populist rhetoric runs counter to many long-held Republican principles. [ ]
Ill be voting for Hillary Clinton, with the hope that she can bring Americans together to do the things necessary to strengthen our economy, our environment and our place in the world, he said.
Paulson accused Trump, who has touted his business acumen as a real estate developer during his campaign, of taking imprudent risk and then disavowing his debts when ventures fail.

He and his cronies can’t buy Trump.
“Henry Paulson, a Republican who was U.S. Treasury secretary during the 2008 financial meltdown”
how long before al-Rueters realizes they helped Trump from the get-go and edits the story?
the stupid party.
i’m never surprised at how these establishment GOP types go about trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
the CO primary is over. i suppose i should re-register as an independent in the next few weeks.
i’m 48. i’ve been registered as a republican my whole life. but i was deceived. it was NEVER the party of conservatism. Ronald Reagan was an aberration.
i wash my hands of the whole filthy lot of them.
I swear, all of the old GOPe have gone senile. No wonder Reagan had a hard time getting things done with these clown running interference.
This election is not going to be Republican vs Democrat, its going to be the silent majority voting against both!
No surprise one bit, this SOB was from Goldman Sachs and gave us the 2008 financial market meltdown , costing trillions dollars wealth. He should have been in prison.
Here you have an entrenched establishment troglodyte suffering anxiety over his cushy and and lucrative phony world falling apart.
Paulson? Wasn’t he a comedian or something?
He did such a great job at treasury. NOT.
Just another New World Order globalist. As far as I am concerned the Bushes are some of the worst people ever for the US.
Don’t let the door hit you in the butt MOFO.
Apparently, he would rather watch Hillary utterly destroy the United States than take a chance with The Donald.
What a joke. Paulson was NEVER a “Republican” which was why he was appointed. To placate the Rats. Which was also why he betrayed Bush.
Must have seen the list of names to be investigated.
Run Paulson run.
Paulson, who?
Yeah, the Bushie who gifted us Obama with his inept handling of the market meltdown in 2008.
Makes perfect sense he’ll vote for Clinton.
Paulson was a pimp then, he is a pimp now. He was bought and paid for by Wall Street.
They’re the pseudoparty. They exist to give the Uniparty the semblance of two rather than one. Given their relentless attacks on the Constitution, that semblance becomes more and more transparent by the day.
He joined Goldman Sachs in 1974, working in the firm's Chicago office under James P. Gorter, covering large industrial companies in the Midwest.[10] He became a partner in 1982. From 1983 until 1988, Paulson led the Investment Banking group for the Midwest Region, and became managing partner of the Chicago office in 1988. From 1990 to November 1994, he was co-head of Investment Banking, then Chief Operating Officer from December 1994 to June 1998,[11] eventually succeeding Jon Corzine as chief executive. His compensation package, according to reports, was $37 million in 2005, and $16.4 million projected for 2006.[12] His net worth has been estimated at over $700 million.[1]
Trump, imperfect as he may be, is like granite on issues of sovereignty.
And so he is the perfect litmus test for exposing who is who.
These squishes are now being exposed one by one. We’ve always known they were there, and now they are being spotlighted and we can do something about them.
Opposing Trump is reasonable if there is someone better, and more likely to secure our sovereignty. Opposing him when the alternative is guaranteed to sell it for money and has already done so many times (have they really forgotten the previous Clinton White House?) makes you an accomplice to a criminal regime.
Thanks for the endorsement Paulsen! Elitist a-hole!!
Time for mass retirement to Florida, with LOTS of sunblock for their balding pates and rotting brains.
