MORE than £100billion was wiped off the London FTSE 100 this morning within minutes and the value of the pound crumbled as world markets were gripped by Brexit panic.
The City was facing its third biggest fall of all time, shedding 458 points in a massive selloff, with shares in Barclays and the Royal Bank of Scotland tumbling by around 30 per cent.
Experts warned of more carnage to come with fear gripping world markets seeing Japan briefly shut down and European stock markets all in free fall.
Britain also looked set to lose its triple-A rating after 52 per cent of Brits voted to Leave the EU.

Stocks need some deflating. Their prices are absurd.

There really is no valid reason for any “carnage.” The UK was 100% on its own not that long ago. It’s still been 60% on its own to this day. The same number of people and sets of resources will stay in the world.
It is all unjustifiable panic. It is a good day to buy stocks.

You mean they are both investors, like everyone else? Or, do you mean they both breathe oxygen?

Same ilk? Seriously? Most Americans havent even heard of Soros, as the vast majority of the media doesnt want anyone to know who this megalomaniac is and how he has been manipulating American elections for years and how Obama is in his pocket. Trump is not running against Soros, attacking someone with no ubiquitous name recognition makes no sense.

If this vote makes the markets sink then they were too fragile to begin with.

Really? GE, Ford, United Technologies, Bank of America don’t really exist?
To: TimPatriot
I meant they are both billionaires and that they must have some common connections
Not that Trump is anything like Soros ... just that they are both mega wealthy

The shares of GE, Ford, etc represent the anticipation of market reactions not fundamentals. The global elite are in for a rough patch but that will be good in the long run. In the sort run Britain is still in the EU (2 years I believe) so it really doesn’t matter.

The effort certainly will be made. I predict it will not succeed. The vested interests of the majority will overrule Soros and his cabal.

There’s no conspiracy, everyone knew the markets would get roiled. Sit back, relax and let it pass. It’s temporary.
