You are ignoring the main difference. Hillary loudly supports the gay community. Trump has not done that.There is a difference between touting to be a great protector of gays (Hillary) and benevolent attitude (Trump).

The critic's point was a different one. It was that Trump insinuated Hillary is hypocritical in her care about homos, because she strikes deals with foreign governments that are hostile to homos to the point of executing them in barbaric ways. The critic said "Trump is a hypocrite that way too, he does deals in foreign countries."

I'm not buying the critic's argument, just trying to summarize what the (idiot liberal) critic's argument was.
