King has her name and great pro-life credentials, but doesn’t bring much else to the table. She served in the GA House as a Democrat for two terms (1979-83), otherwise hasn’t waged a successful race in 36 years.
Huckabee is a two time governor of Arkansas who ran for President in 2007 and won a half dozen state primaries plus Iowa. Hardly the definition of ‘epic fail’.

Fred is dead. Huckster was a fiasco during his THREE terms (11 years) as Governor. If you love open borders (slave labor for Tyson Foods and berating concerned citizens in church for opposing the invasion), are pro-criminal (pardon me Mike !), and generally approved of his crony-style hackery that destroyed the AR GOP on his watch, you’ll love Huckster. Likewise I don't see his previous support for immigration (or open borders as you characterize it) as something that matters in his role as Trump's sidekick.
What matters is the balance and gravitas he brings to the ticket and to Trump's effervescent personality. He's a steady experienced hand with political chops and a history of winning....ymmv
His record is all we have to truly judge him by while in a position of importance. A lot of people were counting on him to clean up the mess of the Clintoon-Jim Guy Tucker corruption. Steady experienced hand with political chops ? Horsecrap ! He failed. In fact, he not only failed, he compounded the mess with his arrogance and self-righteousness. If you weren’t in his circle of cronies, he would ruin you.
The AR GOP was so obliterated on his watch that after 11 years in office as Governor, as of 2006, he left the party with the fewest number of Republicans (zero statewide, 1 federal) in 40 years (and in 1966, the GOP won both the Governor’s race, Lt Gov and that aforementioned House member). It took getting him out of office and away from the state party to finally get it to grow to where it is today (where the GOP holds every state and federal office and a majority in the legislature).
That you blow off these facts with such arrogant disregard shows that you cannot be taken seriously where your opinion of Huckster is concerned. I couldn’t give a damn if he won primaries for President. So did Willard, Zero’s Socialist pet rat and ringer. So did McQueeg. Doesn’t change the fact they’re all lousy, NON-Conservatives who accomplished exactly nothing during their time in office, except to aid and abet the Democrat Party and their radical agenda.
Just because she has been a member of congress for 12 years does not mean she is ready and able to lead the country. She’s not. The BS that she should be picked BECAUSE she is a woman is just that, BS. We’ve seen enough affirmative action candidates from Democrats. Seriously, are Republicans so desperate as to pick an affirmative action candidate? Does picking someone based on gender now suffice as a conservative value? I sure hope not.

Lol..since I have long considered your opinion to be a contrarian indicator, your distaste for Huckabee has further convinced me he'd be a great choice for VP.
I still say Sessions for AG (though he serves well in senate), Christie or Huckabee VP (Sure some of their politics are a challenge, but I don’t see any of the others coming close to complimenting Trump on the ticket OR being ready to be president if that became necessary)., Palin head RNC, somewhere safe for Gingrich, Carson for Surgeon General.
Pawlenty governed a state. He can help Trump in Congress. He could add MN, WI, IA, OH to Trump.
Pawlenty has gravitas. He could be President Pawlenty if anything happens to Trump. He could face off against Putin or Mugabe if anything happens to Trump. You need someone who is ready to be president on Day One.
Huckabee got re-elected with a resounding 60 percent in 1998, but nearly got bounced in 2002 following several missteps (his pardons, receiving lavish gifts, allegations that Huckabee mismanged the state’s state dept computer system, his wife running for SecState where she demanded a 24hr police detail) and won with just 53%-47% over Clinton staffer Jimmie Lou Fisher, a weak candidate who only ran after all the stronger Dems declined.
All of this would likely be brought up if Huckabee ever ended up on a national ticket. The pardons alone would make him the Republican Michael Dukakis - in fact a prisoner whose sentence he commuted did end up committing a rape/murder in Missouri after he was freed.
Winning a second term with 60% of the vote is a great accomplishment, as is winning a third term regardless of the numbers...and 53% is nothing to sneeze at. I don’t see anyone named Clinton attacking him for that.
I also don’t see how the prison pardons become an issue when a sizable potion of the Democrat base is clamoring for prison reform. It would serve to turn off AA voters whose support for Ms Clinton is only lukewarm.
Trump could do a lot worse than choosing a popular well spoken Southern Governor like Mike Huckabee to be his running mate.

Pawlenty is is a low engery, boring, nonpitbull, completely useless waste of space who wouldn't bring in the states you listed, at all.

Maybe so, but she is unknown and has no credible experience to be president. No more that Obama, and we see what that got us. I am not keen on any legislator, get us a governor or a large company business owner, like Trump. I really don’t care about some details on conservatism or such. I was someone competent, experienced, and successful. Msomeone who has met payroll, understands the impact of government on business.
