He uses science to debunk climate “science,” but he’s a denier. I love it.

And no, I’m not castigating you, rocket. I agree with the sentiment. Our world is retarded.

We had a relatively mild/normal winter here in SE New York.

All except for one day when it was 14 BELOW ZERO in the AM.

I truly believe El Nino masked the potential for another brutal winter we would have had.

Let’s do a little thought experiment. While the sun is huge it is millions of miles away. The earth’s core is molten iron undergoing spontaneous fusion. Both the sun and earth’s core are about 5,000 degrees.

My deck is about 40 degrees or let’s say maybe 10 degrees C even down to 0 degrees occasionally at midnight in December. In July it can get up to 35 degrees C. Since absolute zero is less than -200 C, IIRC. Logically, the earth’s core is probably contributing a much greater amount of the heat on my deck at midnight on New Years eve. While when I go out to my deck in midday July the direct gain really warms one up! No question the sun contributes to the temp. of the earth. However, the numbers seem to indicate the earth’s core is more important by an order of magnitude. The core is what “warms” my deck up to freezing from absolute zero while the sun only brings it up another 30 degrees C?

Just one more example of the pseudoscience of global warming. In any number of ways an intelligent person should know better than be suckered by politicians into accepting this snake oil. Perhaps we can see REAL Social Justice when these folks are required to answer before the bar of justice.

A cool front (lowered the temps a few degrees, not really cool) just came through South Florida. That never happens this time of year.

Take a look at this trend data from Yuma. Sure the hot days make the news, but not the cool ones. There is a chart a little ways down that allows us to view temp trends within the "normal" envelope:

https://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KNYL/2016/1/1/CustomHistory.html?dayend=20&monthend=6&yearend=2016&req_city=&req_state=&req_statename=&reqdb.zip=&reqdb.magic=&reqdb.wmo=

Trace the redline (actuals) between the blue lines (normal) and you will see the year trends cooler than normal.

I picked Yuma because it frequently reports the hottest days nationwide. This year overall has been cooler than normal.

Try this with your locale. On the weather underground page:

Go just below the daily forcast and select the ALMANAC tab.

When the tab opens go to the bottom right and select VIEW MORE HISTORY DATA.

When that opens, select the CUSTOM tab.

At that point you select the search parameters. I selected Jan 1 2016 through June 20 2016 for example.

Draw your own conclusions.

Close, but not entirely accurate. During an El Nino, the Pacific currents weaken because equatorial trade winds in the area weaken. This is caused by air pressure differentials or lack there of. Basically less wind because less pressure differences between east and west Pacific. So you basically have an enormous dead pool of water receiving solar radiation everyday. Surface warms. That heat is transferred into the atmosphere mainly via evaporation. Water vapor from evaporation is the primary green house gas component. So we get a short term atmospheric warming. The El Nino eventually ends when trade winds start blowing again. This occurs when the pressure differential between east and west Pacific increases again. The El Nino heat that gets transferred into the atmosphere is actually being transferred into space. After of coursing warming the atmosphere in the short term. During La Nina the trade winds are so strong that Pacific currents cause deep cold water to upwell in the Eastern Pacific. Basically us apes to date have been clueless about the physical processes involved. You will realize this in about 6 months.

Wish they all would make up their minds ..... Since we are all going to suffer death by climate we need to know whether to stock up on Parkas or Beach gear in order to survive.

I actually think it would be a lot of fun if one or more of these States experiencing Unusual COLD Weather would file a RICO Lawsuit against CALIFORNIA, Claiming that their AB32 Global Warming Solutions Act worked too good and they overdid it and through their DIRECT ACTION has Plunged the World in to another Ice Age.

Watch them ADMIT in OPEN COURT that their Global Warming PLAN had NOTHING TO DO WITH CLIMATE, Then JAIL ALL OF THEM FOR LIFE!
