Its her first event of the dayand not yet 11 in the morningbut already Chelsea Clinton looks tired: Theres a puffiness under her blue eyes and a heaviness to her smile. Taking the stage at the Hillary for America headquarters in Milwaukee, she grabs a stool. Please know Im sitting because Im pregnant, she assures the roomful of supporters, stroking her swollen belly. It is not at all a reflection on my gratitude for you all being here or my enthusiasm for my moms campaign.
Wisconsins April 5 primary is less than two weeks away, and for the next 20 minutes, Chelsea makes a case for why her mom is the most qualified candidatethe only candidate, reallyfor the job of president. She speaks slowly and deliberately, her voice low and modulated. After weeks of hard campaigning, she has grown slightly hoarse. But otherwise there are no rough edges to her. No seams. No rambling or verbal filler. Like Hillary, Chelsea is neither an inspirational nor a motivational speaker. But her soothing aspect is strangely compelling, like that of a meditation guide or a priest.
After her remarks, Chelsea makes her way to a side room where a gaggle of reporters hovers. This is the campaign chore she has always liked least, having long had an uneasy relationship with the media. In this way, too, she is very much her mothers child. Methodical, deliberate, cautious, detail-oriented, and disciplined, she tries to keep an iron grip on her own narrative. Journalists pose a constant threat to that control.

Echo chamber journalists are the best aren’t they?
It’s tough being the Queen’s daughter.
“Like Hillary, Chelsea is neither an inspirational nor a motivational speaker. But her soothing aspect is strangely compelling, like that of a meditation guide or a priest. “
And someone collected a paycheck for this.
I’m glad Chelsea did well in giving birth, but frankly, I just had breakfast and didn’t need to see her “portrait”,
The White House dog is off the lease, now, let her bark at the damned moon, fer Pete's sake.
Clinton Foundation money headed the author’s way?
“Soothing and strangely compelling”???????
How about stammering and embarrassing !
It's called being born ugly.
Who cares!???
Chelsea Clinton, the designated fall girl for the Clinton Foundation.
Just watch, mommy and daddy will pin all blame on her
if indictments come down.
The Clintons pretty much DEFINE “resting bitch face” . . .
I can’t help but feeling a bit sorry when I look at Chelsea. She didn’t get her father’s oily charm or even her mother’s ruthless ambition. I’m guessing if she had her way she would be sitting on a tropical island spending all that ill gotten Clinton Foundation cash on cocktails, but alas it’s not to be, mom and dad have decided she’s going to follow in the family footsteps, lack of natural political skill or charisma be damned.
I’ve read that Chelsea has named her son “Aidan”.
So if she has a second son, will she name him “Abettin” ???
(evil grin)
I'm trying to keep an iron grip on my stomach ... if I read much more of this dreck, I'll fail.
Her father (RIP) was probably a pretty nice guy albeit dumb as a bag of hammers. . . .
Sounds like she's somnolent.
What journalists are they talking about? She and her parents have enjoyed a sycophantic, even fawning press since they first came on the public scene.
Her (obvious) birth Father is still ALIVE and WELL..
He stays out of the conversation, had never denied her heritage, to my knowledge..He is married with other adult children..
I’ve often wondered if Chelsea and he have spoken of this event of her life? but if so then that deserves privacy.
As much as Bill was sexually active, it would be amazing if he had a dozen unwanted kids, and he doesn’t..so does that make you think he ‘shoots blanks’ sorta does...
