My college-age sons are a bit like that. I’ve told them it’s fine if they don’t believe that harmless-acting Pakistani guy in their math class could suddenly go Jihad. Just have a plan for when he does, anyway.
Isnt claiming to be a member of a suicide murder cult justification to shoot them on sight ? Especially after an aggressive show and proclamation of who and what they were?
These criminals could have guns, explosive vests or other IEDs on them and their clear intent on intimidation by fear and willingness to kill and main makes me fear for my safety and for the safety of those around me.

Cigarette smokers have very few boundaries and little shame.
They all live in happy land, nothing bad can happen to them.
Back when I was a smoker, bumming a cigarette from the great fraternity of smokers was common and fine. Everyone did it, and everyone knew a cigarette was only as far as the next smoker.
Still smoke and still give up a cigarette to strangers when asked. And/or a light. It’s the right thing to do. ;)
