Donald Trump faces a reckoning on Tuesday with top social conservatives and evangelical leaders at a high-stakes gathering in New York City.

He DID face a reckoning. At the polls. He lost. And the people who put him there are to blame.
Not going to vote for all these candidates who are extremely more liberal than Jack Kennedy.
The "Republicans" @ the POTUS level have become (a) Dems lite; and (b) Libertarians heavy.
Last night, Pastor Robert Jeffress was amazing on Lou Dobbs.
Later, Jerry Falwell Jr. laid it on the line on Hannity—but Franklin Graham said he couldn’t support either party and all he planned to do was to hold prayer rallies.
Jerry Falwell Sr. backed Reagan over Sunday school teacher Carter.
Not sure how the late Billy Graham would feel about his son’s obstinance when the choice HAS NEVER BEEN MORE CLEAR!
PRAY THAT WE HAVE PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP!!!
(sigh)....to my fellow Christians:
Are you REALLY going to go ahead and sit home on election day and sulk because the GOP nominee has not undergone a public baptism nor lived the personal life of Pat Boone?
Consider this. Electing Hillary will give the Left control of the Supreme Court for a couple of decades. This nation will be turned into a Socialist Eurotrash Secular Backwater faster than you can say Reformation.
Not sure who this is exactly? A lot of the Christian hierarchy is indistinguishable from the left.
If Hillary wins, mark my words, the revolution movement will not be peaceful and it will be against the socialists.
What precisely is it that the so-called "Christian Right" is looking for, and who among them makes the call?
Franklin Graham and Mike Huckabee have endorsed Trump. Are they not Christian or conservative enough? Trump has already done more for Christians than the muzzie bastard slime that has usurped the office for seven plus years and whom Madam Benghazi wishes to emulate.
The calculus comes down to this: you can’t be sure where Trump is on all the issues, but you know where Hillary is on them
I can’t imagine a scenario where Trump is to the left of Hillary. Not conservative enough, sure. Not as left as Hillary, sadly possible. But worse than her? Hardly.
And sadly, too much is at stake now.
I thought in 2008, that the country might survive four years of Hillary. In 2016, it can’t.
A meeting is needed because Trump is behind and needs the support and prayers of Christians to turn this around and be our President. Pray God deliver us from evil rulers.
seems you just killed off Billy Graham. Pretty sure he is still with us,
Wake the f up, Christians: We depend on FREEDOM to worship and serve.....The enemy of freedom is Political Correctness and we are seeing DAILY assaults on Christianity draped in robes of Social Justice by those who are using PC to paint Christians as the bad guys.
Donald Trump will help destroy Political Correctness and will ultimately provide more freedom for Christians to live their lives and worship as they see fit.....If you’re voting for a spiritual leader you will NEVER find one in American Politics..
Mea Culpa!!!!
So so sorry. He is 97 years old. Thankfully, indeed, he is still with us. GREAT GREAT MAN, spiritual counselor to many many presidents!
Not sure how I made this awful mistake.
Franklin Graham was a bit disappointing on Hannity with his resolve to stay above the fray, but continue to pray. Would have had a notch more respect for him if he just plain said, I’ll of course vote for Trump. (Our church is like that, pastor never takes a side)
With everything so clearly at stake, I wish Franklin Graham at least would state he will be voting for Mr. Trump. I wonder how his very-much-alive father feels!!
Pastor Jeffress told Lou Dobbs last night that he had a parishioner tell him that she did not like Trump’s tone and language. He added that he tried to impress upon her what would be lost under HRC.
I hope that Mr. Trump’s meeting today with 900 or so religious leaders serves to unify the Christian Right behind Trump. They should keep in mind that Trump has already been their champion in vowing to remove the oppressive LBJ Amendment which prohibited churches from endorsing or opposing candidates!!
Fortunately, we have the unwritten Pius Exception clause that allows stone casting during election season.
However, for those of US who aren't stoners, we freely and without prompting acknowledge that Trump isn't perfect.
And, personally, I'm okay with that because Trump is competent.
What he is not, at least not to me anyway, is another vote for evil or for lesser evil.
Instead, Trump seems to be a realist who has a working understanding of evil. Big improvement!
Better still, he has displayed no PC fear of calling it evil when he sees it, wherever he sees it, and "against all enemies, both foreign and domestic"!
In short, Trump appears to not be a part of the uniparty Beast.
But he has had to live with the Beast, the same as the rest of US have to do, and he has to succeed in spite of it, the same as the rest of US have to do, though not at his level.
The "holier than me and the rest of thou" types can and will do as they please, say what they please and vote as they, all while claiming to be full of the Spirit who guides them.
Yeah, full of something all right and it definitely guides them.
For all of the "thems" and the rest of US this election season, may that guiding something include reality, common sense and a heaping helping of that strong survival instinct given to each of us by our Creator.
I think we've finally run out of second chances and make up exams.
Consequences don't care who you are, this time it's real.
Trump has already been their champion in vowing to remove the oppressive LBJ Amendment which prohibited churches from endorsing or opposing candidates!

You are exactly right about that one issue and it bears repeating over and over again. NO ONE else has ever brought this up, EVER, and another corruption that Trump has brought to light.
The problem with pastors ‘taking a side,’ so to speak, is more than just tax purposes, but it can get in the way of delivering the Gospel message, which is the overriding job of a pastor, period, fullstop.
In my case, I try to teach my flock what’s sin and what’s not, and try to make clear that rendering unto Ceasar includes voting. Dunno if it’s working or not, but...
Thanks for remaining true to the Gospel. Your job as pastor is not easy especially around election time. I absolutely respect your comment. Abundant blessings— :)
