David Beckham endorsed the Remain campaign today, telling voters to support staying in the EU 'for our children'.
The England footballing hero said Britain should be facing the challenges of the world together with its allies.
Beckham recalled how he and other British-born players at Manchester United were good enough to be successful alone but were a 'better and more successful team' because of European additions such as Eric Cantona, Roy Keane and Peter Schmeichel.

Does he mean his children who live in Los Angeles? Or does he have other children in England?

Brexit fallout: seven ways the EU referendum could damage US interests 1)
The economy The International Monetary Fund estimated in a report published this weekend in Washington that a “Brexit” could knock up to half a percentage point off the combined output of all advanced economies by 2019, including the US. The IMF expects international trade and investment globally would shrink in response to the political uncertainty of an exit, especially one that would throw Britain, a key US trading partner, into sharp recession.

If England doesn’t leave the EU, they’ll probably end up surrendering the Falklands and Gibraltar, Diego Garcia

Beckham recalled how he and other British-born players at Manchester United were good enough to be successful alone but were a 'better and more successful team' because of European additions such as Eric Cantona, Roy Keane and Peter Schmeichel. So for some reason European footballers would not be able to immigrate to Britain if Britain decided to secede from the EU?
They wouldnt be able to get a work permit in Britain? Really?

I thought Diego Garcia was ours. My father used to go there in the late 70s.

but were a 'better and more successful team' because of European additions such as Eric Cantona, Roy Keane and Peter Schmeichel The world isn't a soccer game, ya' numbskull. What if Cantona, Keane and Schmeichel were barbarians who cut off the heads of a couple of your teammates every time they took to the field, because they didn't give a damn about your team? Wouldn't have been a 'better and more successful team' then, would it? That's what the world is. Not a federation of soccer teams.

I went to Diego Garcia for about six months in 1981.
I was working on a tanker that was chartered to the Navy.
The island was British; anyone engaged in criminal activity was sent to Hong Kong for trial.
In the morning, the British national anthem was played before ours.

Yeah. Well I turn to sports celebrities for political advice right after I get the opinions of the Reality show celebrities.
I’ll wait to hear from the Kardashian / Jenner family before I decide for certain. Of course Bruce / Caitlin gets a double weighted vote.

Wow, that’s really interesting. I wouldn’t have guessed they’d have to be sent to Hong Kong.

Beckham’s team did better because they brought in the best of Europe. Britain is trying escape from the worst of Europe. Big difference.
