I am not sure if I’ll ever believe anything that may come out in the future regarding his ancestry. Both his parents, whoever his father was, abandoned him. I can understand on a human level why he wouldn’t want to get to the truth of the matter. He may not even know himself who his father was.
It does seem possible that the current President does not know his own immediate ancestry, and that he has generated various fictions to fill the void, as needed at the moment for himself and his career. What tempts me into thinking he himself knows, is his gigantic ego and sense of self worth, so atypical for someone of uncertain origins, with a stepfather coming and going, then shunted off to grandparents when essentially abandoned by his mother.
That’s what I’ve always thought.
