A meeting was recently held within the high-rise confines of Trump Tower. On one side of the table sat Donald Trump and his three of his adult children, Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric. The opposite side of the table included the two primary targets of Mr. Trumps attention longtime Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, and a representative for the more recent addition to the Team Trump, veteran political operative, Paul Manafort. Manafort and Lewandowski have been at odds since the day Manafort arrived. Initially there were those within the Trump campaign who were fiercely loyal to the equally loyal, Lewandowski, and that was enough to keep Lewandowski in Donald Trumps good graces.

Trump himself is learning the process. I suspect he trusts his own judgement above all, and since he now knows a lot more about America’s byzantine process of choosing the next emperor than he did six months, he is making adjustments.
Where’s the “oh the drama” pic?
Read Donald’s books. This is how he does business.
Lewandowski should have paid more attention to the boardroom showdowns from The Apprentice TV show.
Obviously he didn’t and got the “Corey, you’re fired.”
Trumps been too quiet lately. I’m worried. Every since the Mexican judge issue he has just bot been his confident sounding self. Hope he gets it together soon.
Not surprising.
Too many campaign chiefs don’t make for a good campaign team.
Corey Lewandowski eventually had to go. Paul Manafort won the power struggle.
And Trump needs to get his ducks in a row ahead of a looming - and crucial - convention.
He has one chance to get it right and run a strong national campaign.
If he can’t, it won’t really matter what happens in November.
They’re just inventing their view....the usual...Let’s make a monstrous deal out of this...
Quiet? Really? Not from this view....
LOL!
Yeah, it’s a play LOL!
Lewandowski no longer fit the position with the new demands and responsibilities.
And Hillary is now in reboot of Hillary 6.0 without any major shakeups. Maybe she should take a lesson from Trump.
Was it really a firing, or a mutually agreed parting? Sounds like a stressful job.
Trump INC. is not in this to LOSE...
Trump’s children have learned for the greatest business man around, so when they could see something was not working right, they brought it to the attention of the Professional Business Man, and he called a meeting, all parties were heard, and then the Professional Business Man made a decision...
This is exactly what I want in a President to run America...all sides come together, they talk it out, and then the Man in Charge makes a decision...
The Media Twits will be having a field day over this, and so will Michelle Fields, but guess what, she is a piece of scum in the media pool and doesn’t mean a thing, the same as all the other Media Twits and their ramblings...
GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
In the final analysis, Trump’s closest advisors are his kids. Sharp people all around.
Yes, exactly.
I look at Manafort as Luca Brasi from The Godfather, except very very smart and just as tough.
Corey was never anything but a state player. He’s lucky he lasted this long and only Trump could have made him look good. No other candidate could have pulled it off.
He probably would have been gone long ago if it hadn’t been for Trump having to express loyalty etc after the Michelle Fields incident.
It’s just The Media giving him less air time
I think they are doing it on purpose
It was remarkable to see two weeks ago how the media decided to link arms and goosestep in unison through their Hillary Coronation programming for an entire week.
It's a sobering reminder how powerful the press still is when they unify behind the Dem candidate. Emails? Nope. Benghazi? Crickets. Libyan disaster? Silence. Insane Iran deal? No mention.
That week was followed by the utterly dishonest transformation of yet another terrorist attack into a gun control screed.
Trump's waffling on the judge and gun control aren't helping.
The campaign chief switch I think shows Trump is aware of the issue and I hope he comes up with a more successful strategy now.
Clinton already has more than $100 million in ad time bought up before the conventions. It seems to me that Trump should focus like a laser on all the shortcomings outlined above plus trade and immigration and basically call Clinton what she is-- a criminal. Target the ads at the markets that count the most: Florida, the Rust Belt states Trump needs to turn, etc. Force her to spend time defending herself. Force the Dems to blow their ad budget before the critical convention to election time period.
It seems the founders had other notions. Co-equal branches and all that.
Have you not been watching his recent rallies? Man he is on fore and working his Ass off compared to Hillary.
