I stopped listening to him for almost three months, but have started again. Today's show is one of his great shows, his coverage of Trump's speech is wonderful. He's all in with the good guys once again.

I have to say that Trump is spot on in his speech about Hitlery.
I’m glad for the new tone in Rush. However, the initial trust I had in him before he tried to damage Trump, is gone forever. I am ever leery now, and take this new enthusiasm with a grain of salt. (am enjoying the show today)

Lakes, you are doubtless a nicer person than I am. This traitorous behavior by the Republican leadership coupled with one of the most vile evil people on earth running for POTUS, my sense of humor, as well as my degree of forgiveness for transgressors is at an all time low. I started listening to Rush in early 1988, when he was just a local dude in Sacramento, CA. 28 years. Rush has done the following to incur my wrath....
1) Called Marco Rubio’s treachery with the gang of 8 a “mere “indiscretion.” Uh, NO.
2) Made statements about Trump that ran from 1/2 truths, to outright falsehood. Trashing Trump’s policies when they are actually to the right of Ronald Reagan’s platform is not honorable at all. I was embarrassed just listening to him.
3)3) Backed Cruz even after he was a proven serial liar, hired the Establishment royalty, and towards the end, showed signs of mental instability.
I’m taking a long break from Rush. I don’t need him to tell me the truth. Neither do the FReeper people I just pinged here need Rush to tell THEM the truth. You are some very smart cookies!

Good analysis. I would agree. The big problem of course was Rush shilling for anyone at all. We needed him and still do to be fair and balanced always. He has come back to that thee days. But, we will not forget when he went off the rails.
