He worked for the Navy in the mid 60's getting Cam Ranh Bay functioning then went back to become a Port Pilot there for a year.
His first time he was staying on ship when they came under attack and he was injured when he fell through an open hatch that should have been shut ;-(

My oldest Brother was wounded during Tet at Tan Son Nhut Air Base (Army air traffic controller), when a VC threw a grenade.
Leaving him with over 150 pieces of shrapnel in his right side.

I missed Nam by one year. Though they wouldn't take me when I tried to join up when I was 10 when my Brother was over there ;-/
