On another side note.

Some people, mostly men, have a sense of direction. I mean, they/we somehow know what is north.

For us older men that have actually looked at a map, on paper, it is always oriented with North at the top. Always.

Today’s navigation systems are most often used by people that are more comfortable with a “Perspective” view.

They lose all sense of direction.

I just spoke with someone that was trying to conduct a Military training exercise with a number of recruits. The recruits asked if they could buy a $200 GPS navigation system to complete their task. The request went up the chain of command and their advocate had to tell the brass that they simply don’t know how to read a map.

You got it. It's amazing how few know anything about maps or have a sense of direction. I love maps, terrestrial and celestial. I run into folks all the time who have no clue regarding distinguishing between E, S W, or North. I don't know how one could live on this planet for decades and not know east from north without a compass, GPS or other aids. And for those wondering, I am not talking knowing which was south is in a blinding snow storm.☺

One other thing. I know some very perceptive individuals, real sharp folks who don’t know south from north. It seems to be like an individual internal compass thing.
