Boehner may not have publicly disagreed with and criticized Trump to the extent of Ryan, though.
My point is that once Trump became the party’s for-all-practical-purposes nominee, Boehner wouldn’t have spent weeks playing Ryan’s slimey, sick, backstabbing, pro-Clinton/anti-Trump games.
