The enormous mansion in Northern Virginia was built as a monument to Rodney P. Hunts success, a trophy estate along the Potomac River to mark his rise from teen lawn mowing hustler to government contracting multimillionaire.
But on Thursday, the home on Chain Bridge Road in McLean valued at $24.5 million was auctioned on the steps of the Arlington County courthouse for $7.3 million to an undisclosed buyer in one of the regions largest foreclosure sales.
Hunt, 55, who had staved off foreclosure for several years amid massive debts, drug charges and bankruptcy proceedings, had finally suffered the ultimate reversal of his fortunes.

I’d wanted to go to Woodstock, but I was only 15 and my parents said no way.
Funny thing is, I remember reading in the newspapers at the time how it was a disaster with all the mud and rain.
With the real estate market being what it is in the DC metro, I’d think he could have sold it but he probably owed more than it would fetch even there.
There was no criminal action, but it would not be hard to prove damages in a civil court. He could demonstrate that her promise to him was the proximate cause of his quitting his job, and that doing so caused him financial loss.
So what happened? Did you not actually get the offer or did you turn it down?
“There were less than 9000 people there!”

My brother was one of them.

Many higher end homes in CA are purchased by Muslims and assorted foreigners of every description possible. Most of the American middle class could never afford it.
Funny thing is, I remember reading in the newspapers at the time how it was a disaster with all the mud and rain.
I had a roommate in college that was a child and went with his parents who were grad students at Syracuse.
He was 5 or 6 and a hippie just a few feet away dropped his pants and pooped. He was rather shocked but when you realize there were virtually no toilet facilities, what do you do?
Most of the bands weren't very good either, only the best acts made the movie and most of that is pretty awful.
The movie also doesn't show that the concert smelled like an open sewer.
Fraud
Fraud, right? She entered a contract with him under false pretenses (she misrepresentated her position as well as her authority to offer him a job) and it cost him money when he quit the job he had.
And just like on the television show, Chopped, the blacks are the first ones to go down!
As I thought, he’s a Democrat.
He got a billion dollar contract with the Energy Dept.
And according to a story in 2012 in the WaPo:
In the Teen Cribs episode, which aired on MTV in early 2010, Bradley Hunt [his son], now 20, pointed to a dining room chair and said it was the one Barack Obama had used at a fundraiser at the house. In 2008, Hunt donated $4,600 to Obama and $26,200 to the Democratic National Committee.
But a spokeswoman for Obamas reelection campaign said she couldnt find any record that Hunt had hosted a fundraiser for him in 2008 or 2009. A spokesman for the DNC did not respond to requests for comment. Bradley Hunt also did not respond to repeated efforts to reach him by e-mail and through Twitter.
Aaacckk! I know her!
Hubby is a Vietnam vet. Never, ever talks about it. Never has. Most people don’t even know he was a Green Beret (before they became Special Forces).
I think 90-percent of those who attended Woodstock don’t remember the wind or rain.
Last weekend in Germany....we had similar deal with a rock fest (3-days)...lightning struck the crowd....71 people injured. This was on day one, with more rain and lightning predicted for rest of weekend. So you’d expect the organizers to shut the thing down. But no....they kept the thing going. If you asked folks about the 71 people struck....they don’t remember much of anything....too drunk or doped-up.
Washington DC is loaded with liars. Its just that kind of town.
Back in my drinking days, I met a number of guys on bar stools who claimed to be ex-SEALS. None of them was Jesse Ventura.
Actually it depends on the job you are interviewing for.
And plenty that have signed the confidentiality agreements, upon the ending of their job, are then allowed to use on their resumes and tell faily they worked there. Not specifics, but acknowledgement and vague general terms.
It just depends what you did.
Huh?
“One states that you will never reveal your employment with the agency even to family.”
You must have been going after a special position.
I just realized I was born exactly 9 months after Woodstock...hmmm.
