Does it matter if the Supreme Court hears it? It would be a 4 to 4 decision. I didn't see it in this article, but I think I read where the lower court ruled against the 2nd Amendment, so a 4-4 decision would let that stand.

Correct. So we actually want SCOTUS to take the case to clear up the conflicting lower court rulings across the many states.
