It’s all about unintended consequences. Dems are clueless about firearms and infantry tactics but that doesn’t stop them from tinkering with these things that they don’t understand. They’re like hair dressers trying to put a car together. They will inevitably make things worse as they almost always do.
I started thinking the same thing.
Let’s face it...Dems are clueless....PERIOD!!!!!
“There is no such thing as an “ASSAULT WEAPON”. “
I dont know why people think this is an effective argument or even true. The term assault rifle was used since WWII and usually referred to automatic or select fire weapons. By this definition semi auto rifles with large capacity mags are NOT assault rifles. However there are other definitions of “assault rifles” used by Fed and state govts that are applied to to some semi auto weapons. In any case weapons that meet both definitions exist so saying they dont is absurd. Even if you were technically correct everyone knows the type of weapons being discussed. BTW I am NOT in favor of banning ARs, AKs or any other weapon or high cap magazines. I AM in favor of arguments that dont make our side look silly.
I’m sure there are some on the Supreme Court willing to declare ownership of some firearms to be unconstitutional and ban them outright on their own. That’s the state of reason and the rule of law in our court system.
Bad Gun
Same Gun Different Stock. Ruger Mini-14
Appearance is all that a liberal sees...
The original Assault Rife appeared in WWII, (called the Storm Rifle which morphed into Assault Rifle) carried by German Soldiers.
It was a Select Fire Rifle with a 30 Rd Magazine that overwhelmed U.S. Soldiers wielding M1 Garlands using 8 Round Clips.
I agree. This is poor timing. I don’t trust Roberts as far as I can throw him. The left is blackmailing him over that illegal adoption of his kids from Ireland.
These days, when I hear the words “Supreme Court will take action”, my heart sinks a little.
Watch all his speeches here,
try to find one where he does not mention 2A.
“Its sad how the Supreme Court cant understand the plain words of the 2nd Amendment”
I think they all know exactly what those plain words mean, it just that at least half of them today don’t believe in the Bill of Rights, and not just the 2A, all of them!
A 22 LR that you do have is much more powerful than the 30-06 that you don't have. The 22 LR shortage has eased a little, let us not be so stupid as we were before and stock up. After all the much feared Uzi is just a 22 LR with full auto capability.
Yep.
“What takes minutes to enact, takes years of hearings, reviews, and debates to remove. “
And whose fault is that? I submit that it’s the Congress fault! There are checks and balances in the Constitution. Unfortunately the Congress won’t do their duty and enforce their will against the judiciary. We need to start by removing the “protective” lifetime appoinment of any and all judges. When they know they can get away with “murder” with impunity, they do it.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ---C.S. Lewis
Er.... they are mostly 9mm with a handful of .22lr's out there. None of the full auto ones are .22.
Well, I used to have a pretty well stocked arsenal...
S&W 1500 in 7mm Mag, Rem 700 in .243, Rem 7400 in .270, Marlin 35C in .35, Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag, Rem .870 12 ga.....But, alas, they were all “lost”....
I have hunted for the last 55 years and they all were useful...
My dad was with Patton’s Third Army and I don’t think he ever said he was “overwhelmed”...
