I had a Toyota Corolla years ago and it’s the only foreign car I’ve ever owned. It was a good car but I’m an American car gal. I grew up with Buicks and Chevys and Hubby grew up with Fords, Mercurys, and Lincolns. Most of our vehicles are his choice but I do have a ‘96 Buick station wagon for grocery shopping and hauling larger items that won’t fit in the Town Car well.

You couldn’t give me a new car of any sort. I have no use for all that computerized garbage they put in them these days. Cars are supposed to be mechanical with enough electrical stuff to run the radio and lights. I’m old-school on that.

No, I didn’t put Baby in the car show though I wanted to. I can’t take spending all day in the sun and heat any more. This was a show I’d looked forward to because the club members actually judge the cars, using the AACA judging criteria. Most shows around here are people’s choice because the folks putting on the shows don’t know how to judge. I know exactly what this club looks for when judging because I was a member for 12 years and was a judge at the shows. :-)

Indeed it is hard to find any new car without computers but guess I’ve gotten used to that. I never had any luck with American cars. They seemed to always be in the repair shop even when fairly new. I’m sure there are good ones though. Sounds like you have a couple of them. :)

Sorry it was too hot for you to enjoy the car show like you wanted to. What a bummer.
