It wasn’t justa queer club! There were straight couples there to hear and dance to the great salsa music the club presented, It was more of a mixed club.
Full disclosure here, I was in a gay club once. In West Hollywood. Was setting up a graphic workstation. Someone else used it to run basically cartoons on a projector. The cartoons consisted of basic movements. Walking characters and stuff. The club music actually determined the beat or tempo of the cartoons movements. Was actually kinda cool. Was dancing with a fellow female employee and then the gay guys started wandering over. Ugh. Got the heck out of the place. Music and cartoons did not matter at that point.
You wouldn’t know that from watching the news. My gadar goes off whenever they interview someone from the club, though.
